Terms & Conditions

  1. PURCHASE PRICE:
  2. Buyers requesting shipment to an Illinois address will be charged Illinois sales tax unless a valid exemption certificate is provided by the Buyer.  All other Buyers assume the responsibility to pay any applicable taxes.  The purchase price is exclusive of any (i) sales, use, or other taxes, (ii) customs, charges or tariffs, (iii) shipping (iv) insurance costs, (v) expedited manufacturing charges, (vi) surcharges for raw materials, (vii) engineering and design charges, (viii) change orders, and (ix) finance charges. Taxes will be added to the purchase price unless a valid exemption certificate is provided by the Buyer. These additional charges shall be added to your order if applicable. 

  3. CATALOG PRICES
  4. Due to market fluctuations, prices are subject to change without notice.  Prices will be confirmed at the time of order.

  5. TERMS OF PAYMENT
  6. Unless otherwise specified by Alpine, all prices are cash or pre-approved credit card presented at the time of ordering.   If you pay by check, Alpine may delay shipping of your order until your check is confirmed as good funds.  If your payment is returned to us for any reason Buyer agrees to pay all costs of collection incurred by Alpine, including reasonable attorneys’ fees. Payment Terms: Net 30 days from date of invoice. Cash Discounts are not allowable on FREIGHT or Miscellaneous charges.  Past Due invoices will be subject to finance charges at the highest rate permitted by law.  There is a $35 fee for ALL returned checks.  INTERNATIONAL customers will be invoiced in U.S. Dollars.

  7. DELIVERY:
  8. All products will be delivered to Buyer by common carrier or UPS.  It is the Buyer’s responsibility to promptly inspect the order upon receipt.  If any damage has occurred in shipping, save the container and contact the shipper immediately.  Alpine is not responsible for damage.  All orders are shipped at Buyer’s risk and Alpine shall incur no liability for any damage, broken, or lost in transit.  Alpine does not guarantee the delivery date, but will make a good faith effort to do so.  Alpine may make partial shipments.  All shipments will be FOB shipping point, unless otherwise specified. 

  9. SMALL ORDER FEE:
  10. At shipping time a $10 fee will be applied on all orders less than $50.

  11. RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION POLICY:
  12. Return requests must be approved, processed, and returned to Alpine within 30 days of the original invoice date.  No order may be returned to Alpine without Alpine’s prior written consent.  In the event Alpine consents to a return, the return may be subject to a restocking charge as required by the original equipment manufacturer. In all circumstances Buyer is responsible for shipping charges to Alpine’s place of return as well as the original delivery charges to the Buyer. Non-stocks, discontinued, and special order items including directs will not be available for returns. Claims for shortages or damaged products must be noted at time of receipt, filed against carrier and must be reported to Alpine within 10 days after receipt. Claims for defective product must be reported within 10 days after receipt.  The value of damaged or defective product is the limit of liability.

  13. NO WARRANTY:
  14. Alpine makes no warranties about products purchased through Alpine. Upon Buyer’s written request, Alpine will supply the manufacturer’s warranty information to Buyer.  Warranty claims must be made within the time frame set forth in the manufacturer’s written warranty included with the product, if any, and are subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s warranty. 

  15. CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES:
  16. In no event will Alpine be liable for any incidental, indirect or consequential damages or losses of any kind arising form the order, the failure to deliver, delay in delivery, delay on nonconforming condition, or for any other duty or breach of contract between Alpine and Buyer.  The maximum liability of Alpine, if any, for all direct damages, irrespective of the nature of the claim, is limited to an amount not to exceed the price the distributor paid for the particular product.

  17. BACKCHARGES:
  18. Alpine will not approve or accept returns or back charges for labor, materials, or other costs incurred in modification, adjustment, service or repair of an order unless previously approved by Alpine in writing.

  19. CHANGES OF SPECIFICATIONS:
  20. Alpine had made every effort to provide you with the best available information regarding the specifications of products sold.  Buyer understands and agrees that product specifications or designs may be changed at any time and accepts these changes.

  21. MISCELLANEOUS:
  22. All sales shall be governed by the laws of Illinois.
